Corners of Happiness - Taste Of Life (kitchen)

The last miniature I did was 2.5years ago, which is the Alice.
My friend is moving to new house, so I thought why not making something interesting for her, then this miniature come to my mind.

Last time the miniature use white glue which took very long to dry but after dry, it is quite invisible.
Nowadays they use Silicone glue, which is like UHU glue. It is dry faster, much easier to manage the craft but stain of glue is very visible.

I forgot to take the picture without seal off the Anti-Dust cover.
Here are some picture with and without light.

This time, I took video too.

This miniature took me around 2 weeks to complete. I did it bit by bit after work.
I almost give up. It is not easy to do this miniature when you have a big child homework to follow up.
And my bad eyesight also make it hard for me to see the small little detail even wearing spectacle.
I think maybe I should invest in getting a big magnifying tool for this if I ever want to make another miniature.

Alice Forest Afternoon Tea - NEW Display box

My Alice Forest Afternoon Tea that was suppose to display it in the Glassball (refer to my previous post here http://shirleypearly.blogspot.com/2020/02/alice-in-afternoon-tea.html ) cannot last more than a day.

My son too excited to look at it and break the glass.

So now after 1 month finally of searching the right size display box, I manage to find the perfect one.
I was so happy when I received the "Display Box Z-006 for Gundam/bricks toy, the size is just the one I am looking for (10cm x 10cm x 12cm Height)

When I tried put the miniature into it, I realize I need more pebbles. Therefore I need to get some small pebbles for it.

After that it took me very long time to start slowly glue all the pebbles and the final result is very impressive.

This is how the final of my Alice Forest Afternoon Tea look like in the new display box.

Coincident I have some Alice in the Wonderland mini figurine such as the Chesire Cat, Mad Hatter and Mad Hare. They all are same size with Alice in the miniature.

Luckily 15 years go when we go to Taiwan, we bought a lot of Alice figurines there in the night market. These figurine are actually is a keychains.

Here is Alice and his friends, Mad Hatter, Mad Hare, and Chesire Cat in the new display box.

This is how the miniature set suppose to look like originally in the glass ball.

I think they look better in the display box :)

Alice in the Afternoon Tea

DIY Miniature Alice Forest Afternoon Tea - in Glassball

I took me quite a while to complete this miniature craft. Lots of challenges along the way.
First of all this miniature is slightly smaller or my eye sight has gone bad after 10 years of not making any DIY miniature craft. I think I need to bring back my glass (presbypia) or I need magnifying glass for this.

I was so excited when I started this DIY set when almost complete, get so upset to find out that the light and music is spoil. So I decided to go without it.
Then when come to making the paper rose, I fail to do it because is just toooo small. Therefore I change the design and then I almost give up when making the birdcage.

Once everything is done, carefully i put everything inside the glassball.
I dont feel safe without glue them therefore I decided to glue everything ( plant, stone, alice and the table set) and I press too hard the mouth of the glassball show mild crack...

I thought should be fine and quickly hang it on the steel rack and luckily I took a few photos

Glassball hanging using the steelrack

I enjoy see the details....

The close up...

Who know the next day, my son was so excited that I have completed this set and I ask him to check it out. He bring the steelrack closer to see the detail and I forgot that once the glassball hook on the steelrack it is quite wobbling and the glassball drop and break......
huhuhu.........

Luckily I took some photos already...

For the time being I put them here in the food container until I manage to find a clear dislay box to fit them in.....
