The making of a Masterpiece

Ever wonder how is this masterpiece being produce?
The artist invite you to his studio for an inside view of his painting secret.

This is how he started the painting. First he was approached to do a 4.5 x 3 feet acrylic painting on canvas. The client request a painting of a Lion surrounded by 4 wolves.

First, he did a rough sketch and get the client approved before he proceed to pencil the general outline of the image on the canvas.

Once penciled done, he start painting the lion. Some painter paint broadly first, putting in background colours before going into anything specific of fine tuning. But for him, he just paint without think too much.
He start with the dominant features that stand out as powerful elements that will attract the viewer's attention.

Once the lion is completed, he start painting the wolves. A fine brush is needed for painting the fur and detail.

Now the finishing touches. Time to paint the landscape. He let the piece sit for a day or so and then review it just to ensure he didn't overlooked any details.

Once the painting is done, for the final step is apply a gloss vanish to protech the masterpiece and give it a nice shine.
Now with that, the painting is completed ^_^
